The process for landowners to participate in the Carbon Farming Initiative is made easier through the new myCFI website, www.mycfi.com.au. Launched today, myCFI aims to simplify the carbon farming process and create a community of interested people to share their knowledge and help build this important initiative.
Chair of the National Farmers’ Federation (NFF) Natural Resources Committee, Gerald Leach, has today welcomed the launch of the myCFI website – a one-stop shop for Australian farmers interested in learning more about the Carbon Farming Initiative.
“The myCFI website is a useful platform for farmers to access the necessary resources to learn more about the carbon farming process. Any initiative that makes it easier for farmers to understand opportunities in carbon has our support,” Mr Leach said.
By providing case studies of projects happening on the ground, as well as simple explanations of program rules, myCFI enables farmers, foresters and other landowners to determine whether they can participate in the CFI and how best they can leverage this initiative.
“myCFI is about making it easier for landowners to add a new income stream to their business through carbon farming. It allows landowners to see what activities are applicable to their property and puts them in contact with organisations that can help make these projects a reality,” said Climate Friendly CEO Freddy Sharpe.
myCFI is produced and managed by carbon management solutions company Climate Friendly, supported by funding from the Australian Government.
